  1. Preheat oven to 375° and line an 8x8 metal baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Mix flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt & cinnamon in a medium bowl
  3. Mix butter, 3 tbsp maple syrup & vanilla with a spatula until evenly combined
  4. Place 2/3 of mixture in baking pan and spread evenly
  5. Bake 15 minutes, then let cool for 10 minutes
  6. Heat berries and 1 tbsp maple syrup in small pan over medium heat until bubbling starts
  7. Reduce heat and continue to cook until thick, breaking up berries along the way
  8. Add flax seeds and lemon juice, cook for an additional minute then remove from heat
  9. Spread jam evenly over baked crust
  10. Crumble remaining dough mixture over jam
  11. Bake for 20 minutes
  12. Cool before slicing
